Sat. 4th August - Blenheim Palace is home to the 11th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough and was the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. The Palace today is a World Heritage Site. Blenheim was a gift from Queen Anne and a grateful nation to John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough following his famous victory at the Battle of Blenheim in 1704. Includes the fascinating visitor experience, ‘Blenheim Palace: The Untold Story’. The Churchill Exhibition includes the room where Sir Winston Churchill was born 1874. The gardens and grounds have activities throughout the year and today there is a Jousting Tournament featuring “The Knights of Royal England”. Includes coach travel and entrance.

Wed 25th July - Bletchley Park - Bletchley is the historic site of the British wartime code breaking activities and the workplace of Alan Turing who is credited with being the inventor of the modern computer, and his colossus is still working! This is a fascinating day out to be enjoyed and remembered. We have tea or coffee with biscuits on arrival and then start our guided tour. We break for lunch and enjoy the Chef’s soup of the day with roll & tea/coffee and then the second half of our tour. To finish we have afternoon tea and cake before we say goodbye to the Bletchley Park team. Coach travel, entrance, guided tour, lunch, morning coffee & afternoon tea included.
