The Edinburgh Military Tattoo is one of the most spectacular shows in the world, with an international television audience of over 100 million.  But there’s no substitute for being there to enjoy the music from the massed pipes and bands within the majestic surrounds of Edinburgh Castle an experience not to be missed.

The town of Fort William, between Ben Nevis and Loch Linnhe is our base for this Scottish Holiday, one of the highlights is a trip aboard the Jacobite Steam Train that takes you past a list of impressive extremes between Fort William & Mallaig.  It starts near the highest mountain in Britain (Ben Nevis), then passes close by the deepest freshwater loch in Britain (Loch Morar) and finally arrives next to the deepest seawater loch in Europe – Loch Nevis. Before arrival in Mallaig, the train also crosses the world famous 21 arch Glenfinnan viaduct, which has been used in the Harry Potter movies and offers wonderful views down Loch Shiel.
