The natural beauty of the Pembrokeshire coast and the Gower peninsula are famed all over the world. Glorious sandy beaches and seemingly endless rugged coastline give way to the Preseli Hills, historic towns and little villages. We stay in Carmarthen for our tour, ideal for visiting this delightful corner of Wales.

Our Itinerary

Sunday We collect you from home to join your tour coach traveling to Camarthen arriving late afternoon at the Ivy Bush Royal Hotel for a four nights stay with dinner, bed and breakfast.

Monday This morning we travel west to the popular holiday resort of Tenby. With the old town walls, interesting little side streets and alleyways to explore and superb beaches, Tenby is South West Wales’s main holiday resort and is always a pleasant and friendly place to visit. We have time for lunch in Tenby before we are on our way to Picton Castle and Woodland Garden. Regarded as Pembrokeshire’s finest stately home and gardens, Picton is situated close to the estuary of the Cleddau River, not far from Haverfordwest. There are 40 acres of some of the most beautiful gardens and grounds in West Wales.

Tuesday Leaving the hotel we head south through Kidwelly and make our way to the picture postcard resort of Mumbles, delightfully located on Swansea Bay. We have time for a look round and to obtain lunch. This afternoon we have a short drive to the Gower Heritage Centre at Parkmill. Here we meet our guide for a tour taking us to the beautiful unspoilt scenery of the Gower Peninsula, designated an ‘Area of outstanding natural beauty’. After the tour we return to the Heritage Centre and enjoy a Gower Cream Tea.

Wednesday Today we have a day at leisure in Camarthen. Explore the towns market which is sited in a modern, airy hall which houses a range of stalls selling everything from arts and crafts, antique and modern jewellery to locally produced meats, fruit and veg, cheeses and cakes.

Thursday After breakfast we leave and begin our homeward journey with suitable stops en route.
