Thursday We collect you from your local pick up point and travel to our hotel in Stoke on Trent, arriving late afternoon for a three nights stay dinner, bed and breakfast.
Friday This morning we travel to Burton-upon-Trent, Britain's brewing capital. Bass, began operations in here in 1777, for a while, it was England's largest brewery. Today, it’s heritage is preserved at the National Brewery Centre Museum. We have included entrance to the museum. At the end of the tour you can enjoy sampling some of the ales. This afternoon we will visit Tamworth Castle. A guided tour accompanied by one of the Castle's costumed guides will bring the buildings unique history to life. Your tour will last approximately an hour and a half and will also include tea and coffee served in the 15th Century Great Hall! You will have some free time to explore the castle and grounds at your own leisure.
Saturday Today we visit the Churnet Valley Railway*. Take in the 10.5 mile return steam train journey through beautiful countryside known as Staffordshire's "Little Switzerland". We join the train at Froghall and enjoy a round trip on the line through Staffordshire's hidden valley. (*At time of going to print the 2017 timetable for the Churnet Valley Railway has not been released therefore maybe subject to change).
Sunday After breakfast we depart for our return journey with suitable stops en route, arriving back early evening.

The Best Western Plus Stoke on Trent Located in the heart of the Midlands, it offers a friendly and relaxed restaurant, bar and lounge plus full leisure facilities including a gym, swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room. All en-suite bedrooms are equipped with TV, telephone, hairdryer and tea / coffee making facilities. The hotel has 2 working lifts one between reception level and the lower ground floor (where the bar area, leisure facilities and restaurant is located) and another one goes from reception level to bedrooms on the 2nd – 4th floors. The lift does not serve the 1st floor bedrooms and there are approximately 6 steps from reception level to the 1st floor. There are no bedrooms located on the ground floor.
