Our Itinerary

Monday We collect you from home to join your coach to travel to Fishguard for the afternoon sailing to Rosslare, where on arrival we head to Enniscorthy and our hotel.

Tuesday After breakfast, we will travel to Medieval Kilkenny where we will spend our day. Kilkenny is a Medieval city of 24,000 people, acclaimed internationally as a centre for craft and design. Each year Kilkenny hosts a number of international festivals and the city is a very popular tourist destination. This Medieval city is characterised by many beautifully restored buildings and winding slipways - it is small and compact enough to explore on foot, yet full of fascinating historical buildings and contemporary shops, design galleries and restaurants. You will have free time to explore this beautiful city, perhaps visit the famous Kilkenny castle.

Wednesday Today we head for Waterford, Irelands oldest city, where we have included entrance and guided tour of the Waterford Crystal Factory. You will have some free time to explore the town and enjoy the sights and sounds of this thriving waterfront community. We can take time to explore this interesting city, perhaps visiting the Waterford Medieval Treasures, which tells the fascinating story of the city in an interactive and high-tech museum. You may then decide to take a stroll along the quay and visit one of the many traditional pubs and cafes.

Thursday This morning, we will travel to New Ross and climb aboard the Dunbrody Famine ship, an authentic reproduction of an 1840’s emigrant vessel. A guided tour, costumed performers and themed exhibitions provide us with a moving insight into the bravery of the emigrants during desperate times. We can view the Irish America Hall of Fame that celebrates Irish emigrants who created a huge impact in the New World, such as John F Kennedy and Henry Ford. Returning to Enniscorthy mid-afternoon for some time at leisure.

Friday We have an early start back to Rosslare for the morning sailing to Fishguard. Returning to your taxis early evening.
