This Scottish tour takes us to Dunoon a wonderful Victorian resort surrounded by spectacular landscape of which we will visit. We also have an included a cruise on Loch Lomond where we can marvel at the Fjord like scenery of the northern part of the Loch. Visit to Inverary Castle the ancestorial home of the Duke or Argyll and an excursion to Rothesay to visit Mount Stuart House on the Isle of Bute.

ITINERARY

SUNDAY – This morning we collect you from your home address, bringing you to meet your tour coach as it makes its way to the Scottish Borders for our overnight stay.

MONDAY – Following breakfast today we will board the coach and continue our journey to Dunoon, crossing via the Gourock Ferry. We will arrive at our hotel with time to settle in before dinner.

TUESDAY – A spectacular sightseeing tour today. We start by journeying to Tarbet on the shores of Loch Lomond where we will take to the pier to board for a 1 Hour cruise. We will sail over the deepest part of the Loch in the shadow of Ben Lomond and take in the fjord-like northern Loch Lomond landscape.

Later we depart and make our journey to the lovely white-washed town of Inveraray. There is time to look around and obtain a drink and a bite to eat before our visit to the magnificent, unique and fascinating Inveraray Castle, the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll. WEDNESDAY – Today is free for you to explore your new surroundings in Dunoon. Make your way into the town – a pleasant walk along the promenade, enjoy lunch and relax and watch the world go by.

THURSDAY – This morning we have a sightseeing drive around Bute, after crossing by ferry from Colintrave to Rhubodach, ending with a visit to the superb Mount Stuart House.

Set in 300 acres of landscape and woodlands, the house is known as Britain’s most spectacular Victorian Gothic House. It is an architectural fantast of the 3rd Marquis of Bute. Set 5 miles south of Rothesay this is an ideal way to end the tour, the house and grounds offer the visitor much to see.

FRIDAY – This morning we bid farewell to Dunoon and board our ferry back to the mainland before continuing our journey to our overnight hotel.

SATURDAY – Following our overnight stay we will board the coach and continue our journey down South. Making suitable comfort stops till we arrive back in Wiltshire.
