A visit to Norfolk offers a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The coast and countryside offers areas of outstanding beauty and diversity. We have the chance to enjoy this through train journeys and a cruise on the Norfolk Broads.

OUR ITINERARY

THURSDAY – This morning we will collect you from your home address, bringing you to meet your tour coach as it makes its way to begin its journey to Norfolk.

FRIDAY – Today we combine a nostalgic steam train rise with a cruise on the Norfolk Broads. We begin at Aylsham where we join the Bure Valley Railway for the 9 miles ride to Wroxham. At Wroxham we join the boat for a cruise around the Broads, and we then travel through some of the delightful Broads villages.

SATURDAY – We travel to the resort of Cromer, on the north coast of Norfolk. After breakfast we continue to Sheringham, where we enjoy sea air and a train ride, this time a steam train on the Poppy Line, from Sheringham to Holt, a pretty Georgian market town with lots of little alleyways to explore.

SUNDAY – Today we visit Houghton Hall & Gardens. Built for Britain’s first Prime Minister, Sir Robert Walpole, in the 1720’s, Houghton Hall is now home to the 7^th Marquess of Cholmondeley – a descendant of Sir Robert Walpole – and his family. The Hall is set in extensive parkland, with its famous white fallow deer, an award-winning Walled Garden, Model Soldier Museum, Café and Gift Shop.

MONDAY – Following a final breakfast we will board the coach and begin our journey home.
