OUR ITINERARY

MONDAY – This morning we collect you from home, bringing you to meet your tour coach as it begins its journey to Wales, before continuing to Llanberis where we will be staying for the next 4 nights.

EXCURSIONS

We enjoy a lovely drive via Colwyn Bay to the “queen of the Welsh resorts” Llandudno, where we spend time enjoying its beautiful Victorian architecture, Edwardian elegance, pier, shops and attractions. We enjoy a ride to the top of the Great Orme on the beautifully restored tram which climbs up 1500m, stopping at the Halfway Station to visit the exhibition about this fascinating funicular. From the summit there are outstanding views.

At 3,560ft, Mount Snowdon is the highest mountain in England and Wales. We take a ride on the Snowdon Mountain Railway for a journey to “the rooftop of Wales”. In the afternoon we take a ride on the Llanberis Lake Railway, a narrow-gauge railway which follows the shores of the lake.

After breakfast, we travel through the spectacular scenery of Snowdonia National Park as we make our way to the seaside town of Porthmadog to board a train on the Ffestiniog Railway. Sit back and relax as we enjoy the 13.5-mile journey with dramatic views of the mountains, lakes and waterfalls around every corner, to Blaenau Ffestiniog. From here we travel by coach to the pretty village of Betws Y Coed where we make a short stop.

FRIDAY – Today we have a final breakfast in the hotel before we begin our journey home, making suitable comfort stops on route.
