Join us on this holiday staying at the beautiful Langstone Cliff Hotel in Dawlish, where we visit the always popular Sidmouth and its donkey sanctuary. We also visit Torquay, Paignton and Okehampton to give you the perfect taste of what Devon has to offer.

ITINERARY

MONDAY – This morning we collect you from home and bringing you to meet your tour coach as it makes its way to Dawlish for the next 4 nights. We will have a drink reception before dinner each night.

TUESDAY – This morning we head to the coastal resort of Torquay where we have time to look around, explore the harbour and the town centre. On the afternoon we make the short journey to Paignton where the afternoon is free for you to discover the town and enjoy a stroll along the seafront.

WEDNESDAY – After breakfast this morning we make our journey to the historic coastal town of Sidmouth. It was Sidmouth that captivated the Poet Laureate, John Betjeman – and it will captivate you too. Beautiful gardens and leisurely walks, Regency history, clean beaches and friendly shops. It’s all here in this lovely seaside town that nestles beneath majestic red cliffs and green hills of glorious Sid Valley.

Later we visit the Famous Donkey Sanctuary. The history of how this set up is amazing. You can listen to the talks explaining all about the sanctuary and how they work with other countries over the world.

THURSDAY – Today we enjoy a scenic drive through the Dartmoor National Park. Keep an eye out for the wild Dartmoor ponies as we travel to Princetown where we have time to explore. Afterwards we continue through the National Park to make our lunchtime stop in Tavistock, the historic market town and birthplace of Sir Francis Drake. You are free to look around the town at leisure and grab a bite to eat before we continue to Okehampton. There is a Victorian shopping arcade, a museum, a lovely park and the second oldest Norman Castle in the country.

FRIDAY – After a final breakfast in the hotel we will board our coach and begin our journey home.
